MUST por ejemplo.
"Must" implica una obligación muy fuerte o una prohibición. "You must do your homework before class tonight. You must not eat those cookies!" En muchos casos, must se usa para una obligación auto-impuesta. "I must remember to call my mother tonight." Para obligación en el pasado, no se usa "must", se usa "had to"
"Must" también indica una probabilidad muy alta. "That must be the place, it's the only bar on this street. That must not be the right house, they said it had a brick wall in front". En este sentido se puede poner en el pasado usando present perfect: " That must have been the right place, it was the only bar in that street."
PD: Nota los verbos infinitivos si "to"... Bare infinitives!
